The dB Technologies VIO S118R Active Bass Reflex Subwoofer is an active bass reflex subwoofer with an 18-inch woofer, designed to boost low-frequency output in VIO line array systems. Powered by a Digipro G4® 1600W Class D amplifier, it features Power Factor Correction (PFC) and Switch Mode Power Supply (SMPS) for reliable operation, even with voltage fluctuations. These technologies ensure stable performance across varying power conditions.
The Digipro G4 preamplifier comes with an RDNet expansion card as a standard feature, allowing system monitoring and control via Aurora Net. The subwoofer also supports an optional Audinate Dante™ Expansion Card for digital audio network integration. The amplifier facilitates real-time testing of electronics and transducers, either remotely through Aurora Net or directly on the amplifier module.
Designed for maximum efficiency in low-end frequencies, the VIO S118R features an onboard delay module for time alignment. This allows for up to 62 ms of delay through Aurora Net, or 9.9 ms in 0.1 ms steps using the onboard rotary control. The subwoofer also includes a cardioid preset that processes backward sound in inverted stack cardioid configurations, achieving optimal rear-side cancellation automatically.
