The Epiphone EIFB-WR Firebird Wine Red features a 9-ply mahogany and walnut neck-through-body construction. This design provides rich, warm tonality and incredible sustain. Additionally, the neck-through construction mounts the tuners, pickups, bridge, and tailpiece onto the same pieces of wood. Consequently, the guitar delivers exceptional resonance across its design.
Mahogany body wings complement the neck-through construction and complete the iconic Firebird shape. Meanwhile, the SlimTaper C neck profile provides a comfortable playing feel. The bound rosewood fretboard features 22 medium jumbo frets and pearloid trapezoid inlays.

The guitar features a pair of Epiphone Firebird ProBucker FB720 pickups. These pickups use Alnico 2 magnets and follow the original specifications of 1960s Gibson Firebird pickups. Unlike mini humbuckers, Firebird pickups use two blade magnets within the coils.
This distinctive construction produces bright, hum-free tones with a unique character. Furthermore, CTS potentiometers provide responsive control through two volume and two tone controls. The three-way toggle also allows players to select either pickup or combine both.
