The Sennheiser AMBEO VR Mic is a professional four-capsule ambisonic microphone designed for immersive 3D audio capture. It records in A-format using four matched KE 14 cardioid capsules arranged in a tetrahedral layout. Using the included software converter, the A-format channels can be transformed into B-format (W, X, Y, Z), which is required for VR, 360° video, spatial audio, game audio, and other immersive production workflows.
The microphone includes a Rycote suspension mount, a balanced 4-XLR split cable, windshield, and accessories, making it suitable for studio, broadcast, field and VR production environments.
