TASCAM AK-BT2 Bluetooth Adapter for TASCAM Products

The TASCAM AK-BT2 is a compact Bluetooth adapter that adds wireless remote control, Bluetooth audio and wireless timecode functions to compatible TASCAM products.

When installed in a supported FR-series field recorder, the adapter allows the recorder to be controlled from a compatible smartphone or tablet. It also enables wireless audio monitoring through supported Bluetooth headphones or speakers and wireless timecode synchronisation with compatible Atomos equipment.

When used with a compatible TASCAM media player, the AK-BT2 can receive Bluetooth audio from smartphones and tablets and provide wireless control through the relevant TASCAM application. Available functions depend on the connected TASCAM product.

The media-player functions differ from the FR-series recorders. Wireless timecode and field-recorder monitoring functions are intended for compatible recorder models.

The AK-BT2 can provide wireless timecode synchronisation between compatible TASCAM recorders and supported Atomos devices, including Atomos UltraSync BLUE.

This can help synchronise separately recorded audio and video files during post-production without requiring a physical timecode cable between the devices.
