The TASCAM Portacapture X6 is a professional portable multi-track recorder designed for field recording, filmmaking, podcasting, interviews, music production, ASMR and content creation. It supports high-resolution recording at up to 96 kHz/32-bit float, providing an extended dynamic range that helps capture both quiet and extremely loud sounds without requiring precise level adjustment beforehand.

The recorder features two adjustable built-in condenser microphones that can be configured in either A-B or true X-Y stereo patterns. Two additional locking XLR mic/line inputs allow external microphones or line-level equipment to be connected, with individually selectable 24V or 48V phantom power.

A 2.4-inch colour touchscreen provides app-style operation, while dedicated recording presets simplify setup for different applications. The Portacapture X6 can simultaneously record four individual tracks plus a stereo mix and can also function as a 6-input/2-output USB audio interface.
