AKG C104 Large-Diaphragm Cardioid Condenser Microphone

Its precision 22 mm electret condenser capsule delivers a detailed and natural sound across the full 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency range. The cardioid polar pattern focuses on sound directly in front of the microphone while reducing unwanted sound from the sides and rear.

An optimised transformerless FET circuit provides a low self-noise level of only 14 dB(A), making the C104 suitable for quiet vocal recordings, podcasts and acoustic instruments. With a maximum sound pressure level of 143 dB, it can also handle louder sources such as drums, brass instruments and guitar amplifiers.
