The AKG C114 is a professional large-diaphragm condenser microphone designed for studio recording, podcasting, broadcasting, streaming and content creation. Its highly versatile multi-pattern design makes it suitable for capturing vocals, instruments, interviews and room ambience with excellent detail and tonal balance.

The microphone features a 26 mm dual-diaphragm, true condenser pressure-gradient capsule with an edge-terminated design inspired by the capsule technology used in renowned AKG microphones such as the C12 and C414. This design delivers a smooth high-frequency response, balanced midrange and natural sound reproduction.

Three selectable polar patterns provide flexibility for different recording situations. Cardioid is ideal for vocals and single sound sources, omnidirectional captures sound evenly from all directions, while figure-of-eight is suitable for interviews, stereo recording techniques and sources positioned at the front and rear of the microphone.

An optimised transformerless FET circuit provides a low self-noise level of only 12 dB(A) and a wide dynamic range. With a maximum sound pressure level of 145 dB, the C114 can handle both delicate acoustic performances and loud sound sources such as drums, brass instruments and guitar amplifiers.

The microphone operates using standard 48V phantom power and connects through a professional 3-pin XLR output. Its modern body is manufactured from 100% recycled post-industrial recycled metals and alloys, combining professional performance with a more environmentally responsible design.
