The TASCAM CA-XLR2d is a professional two-channel microphone adapter and preamplifier designed to add balanced XLR/TRS audio inputs to compatible mirrorless and DSLR cameras.

It allows filmmakers, videographers and content creators to connect professional dynamic microphones, condenser microphones, shotgun microphones, wireless receivers and line-level audio sources directly to a camera. Compatible Canon, Fujifilm and Nikon cameras can receive digital audio through their accessory shoe, avoiding an additional analogue-to-digital conversion stage and reducing the need to synchronise separately recorded audio during post-production.

The CA-XLR2d is an audio interface rather than a standalone recorder. It sends audio directly to the connected camera and does not record onto its own memory card.
