Tascam Model 2400 24-Track Recording Console

The Tascam Model 2400 is the flagship recording console in the Tascam Model series, bringing together a full-featured analogue mixer, standalone multitrack recorder and multichannel USB audio interface in one professional production system.

The console provides 22 input channels and can record up to 24 tracks directly to an SD card. This includes 22 individual input tracks and a stereo main mix, allowing complete live performances, rehearsals and studio sessions to be captured without a computer.

Sixteen balanced XLR microphone inputs accommodate microphones, DI boxes and other professional sources. Channels 1–12 include Tascam Ultra-HDDA microphone preamps, while channels 1 and 2 also provide switchable high-impedance instrument inputs for directly connecting electric guitars and basses.

Twelve channel insert connections make it possible to integrate external compressors, equalisers and other analogue processors. Additional routing includes five Aux outputs, four stereo subgroup outputs, balanced main outputs, control-room outputs and two independent headphone connections.

The built-in USB audio interface supports up to 24 input and 22 output channels at 44.1 kHz or 48 kHz with 16-bit or 24-bit resolution. This enables the Model 2400 to operate as the central audio interface for a Windows or Mac-based recording system.

Standard MIDI input and output connections provide integration with sequencers, drum machines, synthesisers and other MIDI equipment. The dedicated click output can supply a metronome or synchronisation signal to musicians without routing it through the main mix.

Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity supports wireless playback from compatible smartphones, tablets and computers using SBC or AAC audio codecs.
