Tascam Sonicview 16 Interactive Digital Mixing Station

The Tascam Sonicview 16 is a professional 52-channel digital mixing console featuring a powerful 54-bit floating-point, 96 kHz mixing engine, 32 configurable busses, four built-in effects engines, Dante networking, 32-channel USB audio and extensive expansion capabilities.

Its dual 7-inch colour touchscreens, high-quality 32-bit analogue-to-digital converters and flexible routing system make it suitable for live sound, broadcasting, houses of worship, theatres, studios and installed audio applications.

The Tascam Sonicview 16 is an advanced digital mixing station designed for professional live production, recording, broadcasting and permanent audio installations.

Its mixing engine provides 52 audio channels, consisting of 40 mono channels, two stereo channels and four stereo effects returns. A total of 32 busses are available, including 22 switchable Aux or Group mix busses, a stereo main bus and four stereo effects send busses.

The Sonicview 16 operates with a 54-bit floating-point mixing engine at up to 96 kHz. Its microphone inputs use 32-bit, 96 kHz analogue-to-digital converters, while the outputs use 24-bit, 96 kHz digital-to-analogue converters. This provides wide dynamic range, extremely low distortion and detailed audio reproduction.

Sixteen balanced XLR microphone or line inputs are provided, together with four RCA line inputs arranged as two stereo pairs. Sixteen balanced XLR outputs allow flexible routing to amplifiers, active speakers, monitors, recording devices and external processing equipment.

Integrated Dante connectivity supports up to 64 input and 64 output channels at 48 kHz or 32 input and 32 output channels at 96 kHz. Dante Primary and Secondary etherCON ports support redundant and switched networking modes.

The built-in 32-channel USB audio interface allows multichannel recording and playback with compatible Windows and Mac computers. Two expansion card slots provide further connectivity, including additional Dante, analogue, AES/EBU, MADI and multitrack recording capabilities when compatible Tascam expansion cards are installed.

Two 7-inch colour touchscreens provide direct access to channel parameters, routing, effects and system settings. Three additional monochrome channel displays provide clear channel information during mixing.

The Sonicview 16dp version also supports an external DC power supply between 14 V and 27 V, allowing redundant power configurations for critical live, broadcast and installation applications.
